Äthiopien (ʔɛˈtʰi̯oːpʰi̯ən) ist ein Binnenstaat im Osten Afrikas. Zur Zeit des Kaiserreichs Abessinien war das Land auch als Abessinien bekannt. Das Land am Horn von Afrika grenzt an Eritrea, den Sudan, den Südsudan, Kenia, Somalia und Dschibuti.
